I recently decorated my daughter's bedroom with a projector in mind for the ceiling to avoid a TV/screen, save space etc. I'm a little fussy and a perfectionist. So spent good money on quality paint. I was gob smacked of the quality picture I got, it complemented the money I'd spent on paint and so easy to set up. Short version - BRILLIANT... absolutely PERFECT and exactly what I was looking for... and all controlled from the remote control. I have tried with connected a USB, cast from my S25 and also connecting my laptop... all worked perfectly.

Not a bad product, but I am really struggling to find a good display setting that shows all colours nicely. All standard settings seem to show the lighter colours so bright its just white and you can't see anything. Maybe there is a custom setting the manufacturer could recommend?🤔 Otherwise, its good for its price. Crashed a few times when trying to sign in to the Google Store but besides that its good. Would recommend connecting to bluetooth speakers for better sound quality. :)

Verarbeitung, Haptik und Bedienung (eingebaute Tasten!) gut, Bildqualität für eingescannte alte Dias (Probleme siehe unten), digitalisierte Super-8 Filme, Präsentationen, ab und an einen Film sehen absolut ausreichend. Auch die Übertragung des Bildes vom Androiden auf den Beamer via Funknetzwerk funktioniert hervorragend. Für die Ansicht von Tabellen und Texten würde ich das Gerät nicht empfehlen. Optische Achse ist auf Linsenmitte, das Bild also symmetrisch ober und unterhalb der Standfläche. Hierdurch wird unter Umständen der Einsatz der optisch/mechanischen eingebauten Keystone-Korrektur notwendig, welche die Bildqualität allerdings um einiges verschlechtert, dies ist also möglichst zu vermeiden oder ganz sparsam anzuwenden. Bei einem Projektionsabstand von 164cm (Linse-Leinwand) beträgt die Bildbreite 120cm. Die native Auflösung ist 1920x1080 Bildpunkte (16:9). Helligkeit und Brillianz beim Einsatz in abgedunkelten Räumen OK. Bildschärfe ebenfalls (ohne Keystone-Korrektur) OK, aber halt nicht auf dem allerbesten Niveau. Ton ist auch OK, aber die Verwendung eines externen Bluetooth Wiedergabegerätes verbessert das Ganze natürlich ungemein.

Für die genannten Einsatzzwecke eine sehr gute, absolut taugliche kleine und preiswerte Lösung. Falls das Gerät sich noch als haltbar entpuppt ist es für meine Anwendung die absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Die Bildqualität und der Funktionsumfang liegt höher als bei meinem alten, damals sehr teuren Mini-Markenbeamer aus dem Jahre 2012. Mein Kaufpreis für den XuanPad K8 Anfang Januar 2025 lag bei ca. 70€, mittlerweile war er sogar noch darunter... Außerordentlich bemerkenswert.

Eine Unschönheit besteht bei der Projektion von Fotos (Geräte-Version: K8-240701). Fotos werden immer auf das eingestellte Bildformat (einstellbar ist 4:3, 16:9 und Full) "gestretcht", heißt verzerrt falls Sie nicht diesem Format entsprechen. Hochkant-Aufnahmen also immer in die Breite gezogen. Die Einstellung "Full" entspricht der Einstellung "16:9", Unterschiede konnte ich zwischen beiden Einstellungen keine erkennen. Schwarze Ränder (seitlich, oder oben/unten) werden leider keine hinzugefügt um das Breiten-Höhenverhältnis des Originalbildes bei der normalen Wiedergabe zu erhalten. Wird das Bild auf die Hälfte verkleinert so ist das Breite-Höhenverhältnis OK, aber natürlich dann viel zu klein um es zu erkennen...
Rücksprache mittels der im Handbuch angegebenen eMail Adresse bestätigte das angesprochene Verhalten bzgl. der Foto-Skalierung, Antwortzeit war < 24h, freundlich und aussagekräftig. Den Bug werde ich über eine automatisierte Vorverarbeitung der Fotos und feste Skalierung auf 1920x1080 Pixel umgehen, eine vernünftiger Foto-Abend muss eh vorher zusammengestellt werden und dann ist dieser Prozessschritt auch kein erheblicher Mehraufwand.

The electric focus is a big plus to make the viewing experience great in both small and big spaces and can be controlled by the remote.

Serious bang for buck. Obviously not on the same level as the big name entry level projectors but they are 10x the price. Having said that this thing is loaded with features that I wasn't expecting for the price, the picture quality is surprisingly good and the build quality is also very good. It's obviously not the brightest and relies on a dark room to be fully appreciated but an absolute overperformer at this price point. Perfect for Disney on the kids bedroom wall. As long as you don't go in thinking you're buying anything more than an absolute entry level product you shouldn't be disappointed. The picture quality is good with the exception of some blur at the edges but again for the price it's totally acceptable. Keystone at this price! I don't even have that on my $2k Epson.
