A good option for online sellers
Some years ago I was a professional photographer with a studio and all the gear, so I had full control over the end result, but 90% of that equipment is long gone and I still need to shoot occasional images in my work current work running a design studio. To be clear, this is not a substitute for a full studio or all the experience that comes from lighting hundreds of subjects. Realistically though, it is pretty useful for non professionals or anybody who wants a compact solution with fairly even lighting for small objects. The outer material is fairly robust and folds down flat, but gives no sense this will easily fall apart if treated sensibly. When opened, the all silver interior is rather brash, so you will probably want to use one of the coloured PVC inserts, along with the top diffuser most of the time. The top lighting is even and set at daylight temperature with a fairly wide range of brightness. One slight concern is how long those PVC inserts will last and how easy they would be to replace if needed. More positively though, the whole set up is light, easy to store or transport to other locations. This is essentially a good option for online sellers or others who may not have the need, space, budget or skill required to work with a more complex set up. It's a basic concept but works as advertised.

This light box is far from perfect, however, you can get some nice shots depending on your setup.

Personally, I would recommend the following for the best results:
1) Use a camera that can manually set its white balance (the more neutral white mode on the lightbox is about 4000K). The other modes are either too cool or too warm (not a good look).
2) Have access to a photo editor, be it on a computer or phone; this is so you can adjust the WB if your camera doesn't get it right and be able to adjust the highlights and shadows for fine tuning.
I really like how the light box comes with its own bag, this keeps everything neatly packed together when not in use.
Setting it all up takes no more than a couple of minutes; just fold out the light box, insert the backdrop colour of choice, plug the USB cable into a power source and if you want some extra diffusion there is a diffuser sheet that can also be inserted (if you decide to use the diffuser, that does block the hole at the top).
The backdrop I got the best results from was the white as it has a nice clean look to it. I wasn't a fan of the coloured backdrops due to it spilling the colour all over the subject.
One thing I did notice was the lack of light hitting the front of the subject, that's where using the top down view hole comes in handy, but that also has its own limitations.
