My Quest 3 doesn't discharge any battery life when this is connected. My Quest is at 65% battery and this keeps it there rather than charging it up that I have noticed.
There are two battery packs on each side and one of them can be disconnected and charged separately using USB C while the second battery continues to charge your headset. The detachable battery is discharged first so when the battery is at 50% you can continue using it while charging the removable battery.
It rests nicely around my neck and I even forget it is there. Preferred this over the built in headset with battery as it just has more useful features, such as detachable battery, and overall comfort

Great idea, but quite heavy & cumbersome to wear
I ordered this to go with a oculus quest, and it is perfect for this function - extending the battery life/play time. It takes a while to charge, but it does hold a good amount of power so this is to be expected. There are 2 batteries - one either end - and one of these can be removed & used as a stand-alone power bank which is also useful. The idea is also that if the power starts to drain, then you can remove one battery & be charging it while still playing using the other battery. However, this leaves the whole thing unbalanced and annoying to wear around your neck. Even with both batteries, the charger is quite unstable around the neck & tends to swivel easily, depending on what game you’re playing. Although the midsection is soft rubber & pliable, it isn’t the comfiest thing to wear. I’m speaking as an adult, so I think it would be even floppier around a child’s neck. Overall it looks great - very sleek, and is excellent quality. The battery pops out easily & the cables for use fit snugly and function well.

Wer sich etwas intensiver mit der Oculus beschäftigt, weiß, dass die Akkukapazität häufig eine Schwachstelle ist. Die Oculus 2 und 3 laufen mit diesem Akku problemlos über 3 Stunden. Je nach Anwendung wird die Oculus während des Betriebs sogar leicht aufgeladen.
Der Akku verfügt über zwei Anschlüsse: einen zum Laden und einen für den Betrieb.
Tipp: Besorgt euch einen 90°-USB-Winkelstecker für das Kabel. Dadurch lässt sich der Akku leichter handhaben, und das Kabel muss nicht ständig entfernt werden.
Fazit: Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
