I cannot recommend this highly enough for someone wanting to get into airbrushing. In fact, I have recommended this to people who have gone on to buy it.
The airbrush itself is absolutely fine. It’s not top of the range, but at this price point that’s absolutely not the expectation. The dual action nature of this airbrush means it is the perfect stepping stone towards a more expensive brush, and allows the user to form good habits. I will admit I have since replaced this airbrush – I damaged it through entirely user error, and felt the time was right to upgrade to a slightly better option.
However, I still use the compressor and hose, and barring mechanical failure, I’m not sure I will ever feel the need to replace these. The compressor does the job very well – it would be nicer if it had a slightly larger tank, but that’s the tradeoff at this price point and, indeed, form factor.
Fair’s fair – I have never used the included paints. I have used the included wire brush, but have needed these less than imagined.
If you’re looking to get into airbrushing, buy this kit. Fantastic value, and scales well when you want to expand into a more premium price point brush.
